SideshoViD Second generation pot water diverters are 100% success. The original design I was hoping (but skeptical) that just giving the water some momentum in the desired direction would be enough so there wouldn't be any part visible. That didn't work even a little so now there's a small trough to take the water off the edge of the patio.

SideshoViD We have these hole covers in our front lawn, but one never really fit well because the earth has crushed the hole into an oval shape. After lawn care ran the ill-fitting cover through the mower blades this weekend, I measured and custom fit an oblong #3dprinted cover. Like a glove!

SideshoViD My aunt, @rellie10735, needs a boat load of #Lego baseplates for a project but doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for them so she asked if I could #3dprint some. I #3dprinted one and tested it tonight with some borrowed bricks and it works perfectly. Time to buy a reel of green PLA and get to printing!

SideshoViD I love our #peppergrinder but loading it with peppercorns is impossible without scattering them all over the kitchen. So today I designed and #3dprinted a custom fitted #pepperfunnel (™) and it works like a charm!

SideshoViD Since I've shared my entire journey of trying to #3dprint a #millinery #hatblock it's only fair I share my setbacks too. I finally steamed and blocked a hat this weekend for the first time and the heat and the pressure were too much for the PLA block. I knew this was a possibility going in. Next steps: try ABS plastic with a higher melting point. If that doesn't work then I'll be looking to print molds and cast blocks out of more resilient materials. The quest continues!!!

SideshoViD Since day one, I've been bypassing the filament monitor on my #hictop #prusai3 #3dprinter because it being located on the far left would snap my filament if it made a sudden move to the far right. But for printing very large objects, the likelihood that I'll run out of filament during a print is pretty high so I designed and #3dprinted a new center mounted filament monitor mount. The 3rd of 4 hat brim block quadrants is now under way!
